Dates for the Calendar

Please note the following key dates in your calendars! 

Friday 23 July to Sunday 1 August – Club’s Summer Shutdown (The last session before the shutdown will be Wednesday 21 July, with training resuming on Wednesday 4 August)

Friday 27 to Sunday 29 August – No swimming due to the bank holiday weekend (at either Harpenden or Luton)

Saturday 11th (5-8pm) and Sunday 12th September (2-5pm) – Level X racing at Harpenden Leisure Centre, details to follow 

Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd October – HSC FINIS Legacy Open Meet, at Westminster Lodge – the return of our own Club open meet, racing against swimmers from other clubs.    Details of session times to follow – please save the date!

The HSC FINIS Legacy Open Meet, run by the Club, has been a hugely popular and successful meet, welcoming clubs from all over the East Region (and further afield).  Our income from the Legacy Meet (supplemented by the other, smaller meets we host) makes a huge contribution to the finances of the Club, helping to reduce the membership subscriptions that everyone pays.  

We cannot run this meet without an army of volunteers, so please save the date.  Details of the different roles in which you can volunteer to help out will be coming out over the summer. 

We hope that everyone has a good summer – and hope you’re all looking forward to racing in September and October. Good luck to those of our swimmers who are competing in the East Region events over the summer.  Hopefully the gradual return of racing will help bring back a sense of normality.
