HSC 2022 Sprint Club Championships

This weekend we held the HSC 2022 Sprint Club Championships.  We had lots of swimmers racing for the first time so well done to them, and it was good to see more experienced swimmers entering events they’ve not raced for some time.  We hope you all enjoyed it and a huge thanks to the many volunteers who helped to make this happen!

• Particular congratulations to Charlie H for breaking 8 Club Champs records in the U10 age group!
• James A also broke records for 100m IM and 50m fly in the Open age group.
• And well done to our youngest girls for obtaining U10 Club Champs records; Addison L broke the 50m free record that was last set in 2011 and Anna R set a new 100m back record.
• Anna R also set new Club Records in the under 9 age group for 100m free and 100m back!

Swimmers collected medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in each age group and the points for the Club Champs trophies will be added up and awarded at a later date.
Next year, Club Champs will be held in March and will see the return of the 200m middle distance events.
We welcomed back Annie, our previous Head Coach, who announced the 2022-23 Club Captains – many congratulations to Luci A and James A, both in Performance Sharks, who will lead the swimmers through the year.
