About Harpenden Swimming Club
Harpenden Swimming Club is a vibrant, friendly, and ambitious community where swimmers of all levels are supported to thrive. From those just refining their strokes to athletes chasing national titles, we champion both excellence and camaraderie in everything we do.
Our poolside operations are led by a dynamic team of ASA/Swim England‑qualified coaches — including former national competitors and Olympic hopefuls — who bring passion, precision, and expertise to every session. Training runs six days a week and is tailored to each swimmer’s journey, with a strong focus on technique, stamina, and race-readiness. We swim at:
- Everyone Active, Harpenden
- St Albans High School for Girls, St Albans
- Inspire, Luton Sports Village
But what truly sets us apart is our people. Parents, older swimmers, and volunteers play a vital role in shaping the club’s culture and success. Whether officiating at galas, managing teams, joining the committee, or helping poolside, their dedication creates a welcoming, inspiring environment where every swimmer can reach their full potential.
Competition is central to our ethos. We proudly take part in the Hertfordshire Swimming Leagues, National Arena League, County and Regional Championships, and British Nationals — alongside a full calendar of open meets and internal galas. Every race is a chance to grow, celebrate progress, and represent our club with pride.
At Harpenden Swimming Club, we blend high standards with a supportive spirit — creating a place where swimmers train hard, race smart, and belong.
